The Franklins, Amy and Todd, of Huntington Woods, Michigan are sassy, smart and overweight. Mom Amy had a gastric bypass and lost 100 pounds, but since losing her kids clothing store, she has regained 50 of those lost pounds. Dad Todd is a secret snacker and the whole family can hear him opening the fridge late at night because their dog always gets up to see if there’s anything to eat. He says proudly that he’s a fit guy for somebody his size, but his two young daughters Lily and Chloe are both scared that their dad is going to die. They have both seen him in his sleep mask, that makes sure he doesn’t stop breathing in his sleep, and although they are young, they both understand the seriousness of their Dad’s health.
Amy and Todd’s friends are all healthy and active, and Todd’s best friend recently threatened to stage an intervention on his buddy. Amy and Todd know they are the big, unhealthy people in their friend group and they have been shrugging it off until now.
Six Weeks Later:
The family and friends of the Franklins gathered to celebrate Lily's 10th birthday, and it was the perfect backdrop for the reveal. Todd was the first out, and he lost 33 pounds and no longer needed the help of his sleep apnea machine. Next was Amy. With her head held high, she strutted her new, healthy body into view. She was down 17 pounds, had lowered her bad cholesterol, and, moreover, had gotten rid of those toxic habits that had taken over her life — like smoking. Todd and Amy know put a lot of hardwork into themselves and their family and JillianMichaels.com was giving them a head start on college funds for Lily and Chloe. They had managed to get their health under control and to improve their habits and relationship. That's the perfect foundation to continue to build on!
