Calorie counting....is there an android app?

Hello,

Single mother of 4 working full time out of the home with no time to search high and low for how many calories are in my food if they are not from Jillian's recipes.

Is there a smart phone android app that I can download to use when I'm on the go and have to grab healthy choices that I did not have time to prepare ahead of time?

Thanks so much!  Why did Jullian promote "no more counting calories" ?? I understand the importance, but I feel it was mis-leading in her marketing and promotional materials.

Thanks

Hi mabell2012,

We don't yet have an Adroid App, but we hope to soon!  Thanks for the feedback-- I am sure many members would love it for being on the go!

Jillian's plan is designed so that you can eat the meal suggestions and do the suggested exercise to create the proper calorie deficit to lose weight.  Meals can be swapped for comparable options and exercises have suggestions for move that work the same muscle groups.  Althought the math is based on calories in and out, the plan is designed to help you not spend time searching, but have the ability to follow a plan with meals and moves designed to help you lose weight at a healthy rate.

Thanks again for your feedback!

I use the 'lost it' app, it's free and even has brand name foods for when you do eat out. You can also log your workout so it's all in one place.

I use an iPhone app titled Lose It. It may even be a free app. It is great with calorie counting and tracking food.

I use CalorieCounter from http://fatsecret.com on my Droid.  You can bar code scan with it, punch in a restaurant name, name brands and more.  You can also create your own recipes with the raw ingredients and it will total the entire meal into a Nutrition Label for you.  You can also track your weight, make journal entries, find buddies, and everything else.  The only thing it does not have is the incredible information found here!

I was disappointed JM did not have an Android app.  And to tell you the truth I am hoping that she (her team of course) writes an app that will log into these other Android apps and pull the info it needs over to it rather than a stand alone and isolated app.

I use My Fitness Pal...you have the ability to scan foods, create recipies and remember meals. It has a huge food database and JM and BH Recipies have been loaded in by other users.

I have used all of the ones mentioned so far and I cannot live without my favorite one MyNetDiary. It is very easy to use and has the biggesst food catalog I've seen so far. You can also scan the barcode on the product you are using and it will load everything for you. I love it! I have it on my iPhone and my Google Nexus Tablet (android)
