Heather's Healthy New Start
I'm not a mom, but if there is one thing I know about moms it's that no mom feels great about her body after delivering a child. Even celebrities who seem to rebound from childbirth in the blink of an eye will admit to their own insecurities with post-pregnancy pounds. Heather struggled with her weight for the first time in her life after she had had her two children. She hit 206 pounds and knew that she didn't want to live like that any longer. She changed the way she thought about exercise, cut down on her portions, and started eating healthier. She set out to "make this `mom thing' look good" — and boy did she ever! By taking control of her post-pregnancy weight using my DVDs, she gained an amazing amount of confidence in herself. Now, she's down 75 pounds* and is the healthy and fit mom she's always wanted to be. Here's how Heather describes her attitude change and the advice she has for others:
Activities now: Before I found Jillian's program, my attitude about exercising used to be "What activities can I find that I can actually do?" Now it's "What CAN'T I do?" My body started to change, and I started to get the urge and had the NEED to exercise, which kept me going. I can't imagine spending another day sedentary!
Advice for others: Losing weight isn't just dieting or going to the gym once in a while. It's a lifestyle change. You have to want to do it and commit to it. If you can get past the first two to four weeks of the change in diet and activity level, then you are home free. You'll be developing healthy habits all around, and your rise in confidence, one of the most important things you can gain from Jillian's program, will only propel you forward to a better you!
Way to go, Heather. Trust me, at 75 pounds lighter you are definitely making the "mom thing" look good! Check out her complete story now!
