5 Biggest Workout Motivation Pitfalls

I've heard every excuse in the book for why people can't make the time to workout or completely fall off-track. There's a solution for every motivation slip-up - here they are.

You're not focused on your goals.

It is crucial to focus on WHY you're getting healthy. When you forget about it, you're more prone to fall back into old patterns and habits. Your goals, or your "why," need to be specific: For example, don't just say, "I want to lose weight." Instead, say, "I want to lose weight so I can ride bikes or shoot hoops with my kids." Do whatever you have to do to keep this goal in the front of your mind — write it down and stick it on the fridge, at your desk at work, or in your gym bag — wherever. Post a photo of you at your ideal weight or shape, such as a picture from your wedding day, or a vacation pic. It's crucial that you not forget why you're getting healthy. Doing this will help to power you through every workout and keep making those healthier choices.
