Episode 18: Back to Real Life
After the last elimination, Alison told the final four contestants — Helen, Mike, Ron, and Tara — that they would be going home for 30 days. At the end of that period, they would come back to the Ranch for one final weigh-in before the finale. The contestants packed up and got ready to face one of their toughest tasks yet: bringing their new, healthy lifestyles to the place where all their problems began.

Episode 17: Last Week on the Ranch
After four months on the Ranch, it would soon be time for the contestants to say goodbye. At the end of Week 17, the final four would be determined, and they'd be sent home to lose weight on their own for 30 days. Episode 16: Full of Emotions
Things got emotional early on as we picked up from the previous week. Kristin was happy to still be on the Ranch, but Tara was upset that her teammate Laura had gone home. I needed to talk with Tara because she knew I told Mike to send Laura home (she needed to recover from the worst injury in Biggest Loser history!). I let Tara know it was time to focus on HER. The rest of the week played out just as emotionally.

Last week's episode ended in a cliffhanger: If the teams lost an average of 7 pounds per player, no one would go home, but if they lost less, two people would be on the chopping block.
